Who We Are
Who We Are
First of all, we are a small family owned and operated business. Secondly, we love to talk about Classic Trucks. Over thirty years ago, while living in the great Southwest Desert, "Rico" (a nickname a friend gave Richard), bought his first Task-Force Truck. It came with a title that identified it as a 1956 1/2 ton. It had the Big Window Cab and the "love fest" began.
However that truck was not all that great, as someone had cut the frame down to a shortbed from a longbed frame, and there were many other problems with that first 3100 (or was it a 3200?). Well soon the search was on for another TF and by then Rico had narrowed his sights down to a 1957 3100 model after seeing the seller's other '57 (that happened to be a restored 3124 Cameo). Now it was two trucks.... and you guessed it, along came a donor cab (a really rust-free Big Window from New Mexico), and soon Rico had a yard full of trucks.
As you might know, trying to build one nice truck back thirty odd years ago, meant you had to find some good donor parts, as there just weren't that many reproduction parts back then. Not like we have today! WOW! What a difference a couple of decades make! Now Rico is one of the "Old Guys", and he still is playing with trucks! Laughing Out Loud!
After helping many fellow "Truck-Nuts" (a name we call ourselves) find good used parts, Rico got into selling new reproduction parts for Classic Chevrolet and GMC Pickups. And in doing so, he created Rico's Rods & Relics - "Treasure the Ride in Pride" - Classic Truck Parts.
We are now dealers for every major manufacturer and wholesaler of 1947 through 1972 GMC and Chevy Trucks. Like we said earlier, we love to talk trucks! Feel free to call or email us anytime. We will be more than happy to offer free advice, and tips to help you on any of your projects.
